Go

By Pastor Ron Simpkins

“Go” is what’s yelled at the beginning of a race, when someone’s mad and when we’re asked to do something. At the heart of it is the idea you need to move. Jesus said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” (Mat 28:19 KJVR) “Go” is a critical word and used everywhere in the Bible.

In Genesis 11, it’s God telling Abraham to “Go to the Promised Land”. In Exodus, it’s God telling pharaoh “Let my people go”. In Isaiah 6: 8, God asks, “Who will go?” The biggest question in life is “What is God telling you to go do? Are you doing it?”; “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (Act 10:38 ESV)

Simple Christianity is:
  • running around doing good
  • making the devil trouble
  • and knowing God is there
